Baking Class - Fall Local Fruit Pies - Sun 10/28, 12-3

In this 3 hour class we'll learn a foolproof pie crust, fill it with local organic apples and pears (and maybe some Quince and Persimmon and some late Figs too, depending on what's available locally.) and make some gorgeous pie. There's so much we can do with the fantastic Northern California Fall fruit, and we'll have a lot of fun as we learn different ways to use the bounty at our doorstep. We'll show you some tips and tricks and creative ways to decorate your pies. And, as time permits, we'll make caramel sauce and some other useful Fall and holiday recipes while our pies are baking. Everyone makes a pie to take home, along with their extra dough (nice to have on hand in the freezer) and recipes. Light refreshments and wine are of course included.
Sunday, October 28, 12-3 pm. Maximum number of participants is 8. We'll provide aprons and rolling pins and all needed materials.
