Have you been wanting to learn a little about Sourdough? 

Our sourdough starter originated from Niles, CA backyard grapes in 2003, and has been happily bubbling ever since. We use it at the shop in our croissants, and any breads we make. A good healthy starter doesn't smell or taste sour, but has a fresh, fruity scent. We'll give you some history and background, and help demystify one of our favorite kitchen companions.

We'll learn about starters, bake some loaves, have a tasting session (of course! ), and we will make dough for you to tend and bake at home. You leave with your own starter, armed with the knowledge (and written instructions) for its care, your bread dough, and a proofing basket to rise it in.

Sunday, June 2, 12-3 pm.  Maximum number of participants is 6. We'll provide aprons and rolling pins and all needed materials.

 Cancellation Policy: Cancellations within 1 week of the event can only be refunded if we can fill your spot. Thank you for understanding.

Ages 15 and over only, or 12 and over, with an adult participant.
